Well,Anne Kiguta fairly looks nice with make-up and maybe that's the reason she hates to see Uganda's hottest anchor Joy Doreen Biira on Primetime news. You might be wondering where the fair and beautiful soft spoken Doreen Biira is. Well, our inside sources at KTN has revealed how Anne Kiguta fought and ensured Biira was out of news anchoring.  'Anne Kiguta did not like Doreen immediately she set foot in KTN Kenya. She fought her hard and ensured that she was thrown out of the prime-time news as well as hosting the mid-morning show.,'said our source. Kiguta is said to be well connected to the new management at KTN Kenya and has a voice. Joy Doreen Biira was given the Business Focus show and only reports news on occasional basis. Biira is an alumni of Makerere University and had been rated the best TV news anchor in Uganda for three consecutive years.

WHAT KILLED GOLDIE?

As at yesterday, more facts have continued to emerge as to what killed the song-star while  sources close to the departed singer attributed her  sudden demise to Pneumonia(an inflammatory condition of the lung-affecting primarily the microscopic air sacs known as alveoli), others alleged that she died as a result of doping complications. She died  Thursday night at Reddington Hospital, Victoria Island, Lagos, and barely few hours after she arrived from Los Angeles, United States of America, where she attended the 55th Grammy Awards ceremony. It was learnt that Goldie died in the presence of a Lagos-based entertainer, Denrele Edun, who was in the hospital with her. Report says she started complaining of a terrible headache just before she was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead upon arrival.

ZOLA 7 ESCAPES JAIL

KWAITO star and television icon Bonginkosi "Zola 7" Dlamini escaped spending Christmas in jail by a hair's breadth in a child custody drama that can shame Academy award-wining movie Kramer vs Kramer. It has now emerged that a contingent of heavily armed police officers descended on Zola's house in Meadowlands, Soweto, and assembled around his gate like vultures on a carcass - demanding that his mother open the gate so they could take the artist's first child he sired with an ex-girlfriend, whose name is known to Sunday World. When the elderly woman - who lived with the child - dilly-dallied, police threatened to cut open the locked gate. Zola's mother had to tearfully hand the child over. The drama started when Zola's ex moved to her home province, KwaZulu-Natal, in 2010 to study nursing. By then, she and Zola were no longer an item. "I requested Zola to live with the child in Joburg and promised to take her back when I started working and he agreed," she says. She says Zola, who farmed the child out to his mother in Meadowlands, refused her access to the child in 2011. "I asked if the child could visit me in KZN but he refused." She says she went to the local Scottburgh Magistrate's Court to obtain a court order to get her child back.  She later approached the Dobsonville police station, in Soweto, in June last year to execute the order.  "Police accompanied me to his house but he was not there. Police phoned him and he told them to meet him at Brixton police station (in Joburg) because he lived in Melville and not Meadowlands," she says. "When I arrived there I found a police officer who escorted me to his house in Melville - where he (Zola) insulted and humiliated me. He then invited the cop into his house and after a couple of minutes the cop came out and said he could not arrest him because the order was fake. Zola even spat on my friend's car." The woman says she went back to court and obtained a warrant for Zola's arrest. She says she wrote an e-mail to a well known cop and complained that the police were protecting Zola. On December 24 she arrived at Dobsonville police station with her mother and she was escorted to Zola's house in Meadowlands by a team of no-nonsense police officers. "We arrived there and as usual did not find him. When police phoned him he told them again to meet him at Brixton police station," she says.  She says he arrived in court last month with documents claiming that he was granted custody of the child by a Joburg court, but was told to take a hike.  "I thought that was the end of the story but my child's school teachers refused to send me her report to enrol her at a local school. They only did so when the court threatened to issue a warrant for the principal's arrest," she says. Soweto police spokesperson Kay Makhubela confirms that police were asked to intervene in the matter. Zola admitted police came to his house and took the child.  "Apparently I was sent summons to appear in court and I didn't. But they did not arrest me because I told them that the residential and work addresses she gave the court that issued those summons were incorrect," he says, adding that he will fight for the child's custody.

ANOTHER GOSPEL ARTISTE IN RAPE SCANDAL

AWARD-WINNING gospel musician, Sechaba Bali, is being probed for statutory rape by the South African police after he allegedly fathered a child with a 15-year-old Free State girl.The minor, who cannot be named for legal reasons, fell pregnant when she was only 14 after the muso allegedly plied her with alcohol in January last year, before the alleged rape. But Sechaba says he didn't know that the girl was under age when he slept with her. "My family and hers agreed that we pay for damages and that I should support the child. I paid for damages and I'm maintaining the child," he says."Honestly, I did not know that she was a minor. She told me that she was 17. I only discovered that she was 15 after she fell pregnant. I'm still waiting for the police to tell us what to do," he says. He says that he slept with the minor after fighting with his wife. "I was running away from my problems at home and unfortunately ran into a worse situation," he says. The shocking news was revealed by a family friend who commiserates with the victim. The grade 11 girl, who now has a three-month-old baby girl, had to stay out of school last year. A relative of the minor says the police were slow to act as Sechaba has not been arrested almost a year after the case was opened. Our deep throat says Sechaba arrived in a sleek white BMW at the victim's home in Rietzpark, Welkom, on January 18. "He was there to see the girl's elder sister, who was his backing vocalist. He then asked to drive around with her and the girl jumped in because she trusted him," says our mole. It is alleged that Sechaba bought the girl a six-pack of ciders while he merrily imbibed on beer. During the joyride, the girl is said to have become intoxicated. She threw up and passed out. "When they arrived in Dwaarspruit, near Lesotho, Sechaba called a female friend to lend the girl some clothes to change. "The woman also offered Sechaba and the girl accommodation to sleep over as he said he was too tired to drive back to Welkom. The girl slept in the lounge. "But Sechaba later came and asked her to come share a bed with him," explains the source. It is alleged that as the girl staggered out of the lounge, Sechaba bent down on his knees and prayed. "She told us that the next thing she knew, Sechaba was on top of her. When she asked him what he was doing, he said 'Don't worry, I withdraw'," says the source. The following day, the source adds, the two drove to a hotel in Welkom and he told her to take a bath. "He gave her R1000 and told her not to tell anyone." When asked about the events of that night, Sechaba, who claimed the minor was his girlfriend at the time, told Sunday World he would not give us details of their affair. He said he did not know anything about the allegations of the night in question. He also refused to confirm if he and the girl were still seeing each other. It is alleged that the girl's siblings suspected foul play when the teenager gained weight and started showing signs of pregnancy. She was taken to a doctor, who confirmed that she was carrying the muso's precious cargo. A family meeting was convened and the girl's uncle took her to the police, where a case was opened. "A police officer interviewed her and took pictures of her. But the case is being investigated by one Captain Modibedi," says the source. The friend says Sechaba later approached the girl's mother and apologised for what he did. Free State police spokesperson Briagadier Billy Jones says: "The suspect in question hasn't been arrested because the investigating officer could not get hold of the complainant and her family as they are no longer at the address provided and the contacts submitted when the complaint was lodged are out of reach."Which is why the DNA test has not been conducted. We are not going to confirm the name of the suspect for publication in the media at this point in time." GOLDIE AND HUBBY ANDREW HARVEY'S WEDDING

So Goldie was a married woman, wedded in church? This news caught many by surprise as her matrimonial lifestyle was a closely guarded affair. On  Friday, Andrew Harvey uploaded 58 pictures of him and Goldie as “Memories of my Darling wife; A few pictures of my Time with Susan (Goldie) Harvey before her untimely passing”. He says the two held a traditional wedding on December 8, 2005 and a church wedding two days later. The pictures show Goldie in a wedding gown alongside Mr Harvey. There are also private pictures of the Nigerian as a child. Mr Harvey blasted Prezzo in a separate posting. “Prezzo, please leave our family to grieve in peace. You have caused enough hurt and pain,” he wrote. During the recording of Churchill Show last Tuesday, the Kenyan musician had announced plans to meet Goldie on Thursday for a Valentine’s date. Their relationship started last year when they were housemates in the continent-wide reality show, Big Brother Africa Star Game. They have spent time together since the show ended. It was not immediately clear why Mr Harvey, now a senior contracts engineer in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, chose to remain quiet all the while. Popular Naija Billionaire businessman, Mike Adenuga awarded the Africa Cup of Nations champions the Super Eagles of Nigeria a cash reward of $1million dollars for winning the tournament. That was not all as Adenuga also  made a special cash reward of $200, 000 to the Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi. Adenuga is estimated to be worth over $10 billion but Forbes Magazine has positined him at $2billion. DRUNK GOSPEL ARTISTE ARRESTED

A popular Ugandan gospel artist was arrested for drunken driving by Uganda traffic police. Popularly known as Exodus , the artiste was arrested on Saturday for drunken driving when police raided Rubaga road to find drunken drivers. Exodus was arrested in the operation although he maintains he was not drinking blaming Bukedde TV’s Agataliko Nfufu for coming up with stories to tarnish integrity. “I love how Agataliiko Nfuufu twists the truth around to suit their interest!!report truth with integrity,” he said. He was arrested together with MC Kats whose blood alcohol content (BAC) was twice the lethal dose leaving the cops with no option but to arrest him. MC Kats is the presenter of NTV Exposed and a freelance MC. The Ugandan artiste has won several gospel awards in the region and is popularly known for his hit single ‘Ganjaman’.

CHAMELEONE'S WIFE ARRESTED

Daniela Atim Mayanja, the wife of Ugandan singer Joseph Mayanja better known as Chameleon, was on Monday afternoon  arraigned before court and charged with fighting in a public arena with a journalist. Daniella is said to have assaulted a radio presenter Isaac Katende of Dembe fm. Daniela, 28, appeared before Makindye Chief Magistrates Court and denied the charge leveled against her. Dressed in a bluish flowered dress, Daniela firmly denied the charge saying it is not true. She was granted a cash bail of $400 by Grade One Magistrate, Flavia Nabakooza Kalungi. Her two sureties were each asked to execute a non cash bond of $2,000. The sureties included; Kim Kibiringe, the an artist with Leone Island and Sam Mukasa, also an artist and the manager of Leone Islands, a music company owned by her husband and artist, Joseph Mayanja a.k.a Dr Chameleon. She was represented by Mr Emmanuel Wamimbi. The charge sheet states that Daniela and Katende, on December 2012, at Monitor Publications office in Industrial Area, 8th Street, Project Zone Wabigalo parish Makindye Division, Kampala, unlawfully took part in a fight in a public place. Court issued criminal summons for Mr Katende as he did not show up in court to enter plea. The matter was adjourned to February 28 for mention as investigations into the fight continue.  It was not mentioned in the charge sheet why the two engaged in a fight. A source who preferred to speak anonymously says that the fight originated from a disagreement between the journalist and Daniela. The source claims that Katende reportedly called Ms Daniela and informed her of his intention to run a ‘dirty’ article about her and a fight ensued. By press time, Ms Daniela was still in the court cells as the friends and relatives went to the bank to pay up before she could be released officially.

TANZANIAN MUSICIAN LOSES CELLPHONE TO NAIROBI THUGS

Bongo flava musician Mr. Blue was robbed off his cellphone in Nairobi Tuesday evening. The Tanzanian singer who sneaked in Kenya for music business blamed the street thugs. 'I was robbed unawares. I didnt even realize. I have been hearing Nairobi as an insecure place and only believed this after today's incident,'he told our snoops. The musician did not reveal what type of phone it was. The musician is yet to make a comeback in the industry after his runway hits of five years ago.

POPULAR UGANDA'S DESIGNER DENIES PREGNANCY RUMORS

Uganda's fashionista Sylvia Owori has dismissed rumours that she and kick boxer Malik Kaliisa are expecting their first child together. Rumors had it that the designer mother of two was seen seeking antenatal services at Paragon hospital last week. But Owori denied the rumours on twitter. She tweeted “IAM NOT PREGNANT GET YOUR FACTS RIGHTS. I SEE YOU ARE OUT OF STORIES”. Owori and Malik have been dating for some time now ever since she split with her hubby Per Munk Nielson. Owori and Nielsen had two sons together before they went separate ways. She reacted to rthe story which had appeared on the tabloid 'Redpepper'

Chameleone has been forced to quit his Sseguku based house to Muyenga for security reasons. The singer says that his security and that of his family was compromised. "My security and that of my family was compromised in Seguku. Therefore it was prudent to acquire another place as the security issues at Seguku got fixed. Again this will allow for the renovation work that has been going on at Seguku for the last 4 months get finished and done more efficiently. Leone island family, introducing my new hut in Muyenga."
Earlier reports had indicated that the Moto-Moto star had moved all his posh rides that included an Escalade, BMW, and a Range Rover Sport plus other valuables to his in-laws in Bina something that the star was quick to refute. He even invited some folks to come to Sseguku and prove that the allegations were wrong. It has not been a bed of roses for the 'Badilisha' singer for the last one month following the death of Robert Karamagi who broke into his house late last year only to allegedly torch himself from the singer's house. Chameloene's movements to his Sseguku house during day time were greatly affected after that incident. This has in the end left him with no choice but to relocate to Muyenga. The kids were seen enjoying the new home which is well equipped with a swimming pool and a quiet neighborhood. Meanwhile, the singer is in his final stages of launching his latest album, Badilisha. Insider sources say that a search for a venue that can handle a crowd bigger than that of the Valu-Valu launch is on.
